This Program has yet to disappoint. The assembly that was held at the beginning of the year has been the talk of the school. In fact, I even received a personal letter just the other day from a student thanking me for allowing such an assembly to occur and sending such a strong message to the student body. I also have received numerous emails from parents thanking me for the message and positive environment we are creating at our school. The assembly alone moved many students, bringing some to tears, and motivating others to act. The brilliance of this program is not only the structure and the message of the assembly, but what follows. Build into this program are two things that make it unique, a fundraising opportunity and follow up lessons to build capacity.

The Stand Up. Be the ONE assembly and related activates brought a keen focus on the impact that one person can have in making a school community a positive place for everyone. What’s even more impressive is the commitment to engage a larger community including school staff, district leaders, board members, and community leaders. It was overwhelmingly successful.
